Protocol Her shows no reference range for BPC-157. Ranges are filled in only where they trace to FDA labeling or a published human trial, and this compound has neither, so the field stays empty rather than being invented.
A research peptide, honestly labeled.
BPC-157 is a synthetic chain of fifteen amino acids, based on a sequence identified in gastric juice. The name is a contraction of body protection compound. Nearly all of the published work on it comes from animal and laboratory studies rather than completed human trials, which is precisely what the app's classification, primarily preclinical research, is describing.
What preclinical means
Results in rodents and cell cultures are a reason to run human trials, not a substitute for having run them. Dose, safety, and effect in people are open questions here, not settled ones, and a compelling animal result is not evidence about you.
How it is sold
Most commonly as freeze-dried powder in a vial for reconstitution, and also as capsules and other oral forms, sometimes as a salt variant marketed for stability. There is no approved medicine, so nothing here comes with an approved label to read.

This is the one thing that makes BPC-157 arithmetic different from the GLP-1s, and it is where most conversion mistakes are made.
The number on the label
Vials most often read 5 mg or 10 mg. That is a total mass for the whole vial, not a strength, and not an amount to measure. Until liquid is added there is no mg/mL and nothing a syringe can read.
The unit people work in
Amounts are usually discussed in mcg, because they are small fractions of a milligram and mcg avoids a run of leading zeros. One mg is 1000 mcg. Protocol Her enters BPC-157 doses in mcg for the same reason.
Two units on one page is a real hazard: a slip of three decimal places is a thousandfold error. Convert to a single unit before you divide anything, and read the mg figure off the vial in front of you rather than assuming it matches the last one.
From mcg to units on the barrel.
Take a 5 mg vial with 2.5 mL of bacteriostatic water added, and say you want to measure 300 mcg. Every number here was picked to make the arithmetic easy to follow. None of them is a suggested vial size, water volume, or amount.
Concentration
Divide the peptide in the vial by the water you added. That is the strength of every mL in the finished solution.
5 mg ÷ 2.5 mL = 2 mg/mL
Match the units, then divide
The concentration is in mg/mL and the amount is in mcg, so convert first. Divide mcg by 1000 to get mg, then divide by the concentration.
300 mcg ÷ 1000 = 0.3 mg
0.3 mg ÷ 2 mg/mL = 0.15 mL
Syringe units
A U-100 insulin syringe is marked at 100 units per mL, so multiply by 100 to read the same volume on the barrel.
0.15 mL × 100 = 15 units
Skipping step 2 is the classic error. Dividing 300 by 2 without converting gives 150 mL, which is not a syringe volume at all, it is a soda can. When a result looks physically impossible, the unit conversion is almost always the step that was dropped.

Heat, light, and agitation are what degrade them. General handling principles below. With no approved product there is no manufacturer storage label to fall back on, which is its own kind of unknown.
- Before mixing, the powder is the stable form. Freeze-dried peptide keeps far better than solution. Store it away from light and heat.
- Once liquid is added, it is refrigerated. Reconstituted peptide belongs in the fridge, upright, not in the door where the temperature swings every time it opens.
- Do not freeze a reconstituted vial. Ice crystals damage peptide in solution. Freezing and rethawing is not a way to extend anything.
- Add water gently and do not shake. Run the stream down the inside wall of the vial and swirl slowly. Foaming means agitation, and agitation denatures protein.
- Bacteriostatic water is not sterile water. Bacteriostatic water contains a preservative, benzyl alcohol, which is what allows a vial to be entered more than once. Sterile water has none. They are not interchangeable.
- Write the date you mixed it on the vial. A date on the label beats memory. Discard a vial that is cloudy, discolored, or has anything floating in it.
- A small vial holds many small amounts. Working in mcg means a single vial can last a long time, so the date you wrote on it matters more here than on a vial that empties in a few weeks.
